To the west, the vast plain bathed by the still wild beds of the Meurthe, Mortagne, and Moselle rivers serves as a setting for masterpieces such as the castles of Lunéville and Gerbéviller. To the east, Baccarat, a town with renowned crystal works, marks the entrance to the Vosges Mountains. The Pierre-Percée lakes have a little Canada feel and offer water sports and outdoor activities.

This high plateau bordering Belgium and Luxembourg offers a landscape of vast plains, punctuated here and there by narrow valleys. It is rich in the legacy of mining and steelmaking activities, the expertise of Longwy enamel factories, and a rich military heritage, such as the fortifications of the Longwy Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Woëvre and Haye

This area, with its beautiful natural surroundings, is almost entirely included within the Lorraine Regional Natural Park. Bordering Lake Madine and crisscrossed by hiking trails, it is the setting for the charming Rupture de Mad Valley, or Little Switzerland of Lorraine. It is home to a rich and poignant heritage of remembrance of the First World War.

To the east, the Grand Couronné is adorned with hills rising to 400 m, which open up views of the Lorraine plateau, the scene of major battles during the two world wars. It is a place of discovery of a historical and memorial heritage, crossed by hiking trails.

Set to become a major axis for cycle tourism, it offers a continuous route on a protected path from Toul to Strasbourg, along the Marne-Rhine Canal.
