Housed in the former Maison-Dieu, the Museum of Art & History offers rich permanent collections as well as eclectic temporary exhibitions. Made up of a central building facing rue Gouvion Saint-Cyr, and two wings surrounding a garden, this 19th-century architectural ensemble rises on three levels. There remains an old Salle des Malades dating from the first half of the XNUMXth century. Its garden is home to a sample of plants (XNUMX varieties) that are pleasant to the palate or known for their olfactory quality. The Museum's garden is made up of a collection of aromatic plants used in cooking and for making decoctions, which will appeal to your sense of smell along the boundary wall. You can find Artemisia absinthium, better known as wormwood, or Viola odorata, also known as fragrant violet, recognizable by its scent. Two plants with both taste and medicinal qualities.
