Plate 1477

A paving stone dated "1477" recalls the battle of Nancy and marks the location of the house in which the body of Charles the Bold, Duke of Burgundy, killed in front of Nancy on January 5, 1477, was laid. The cross of Lorraine, also visible, has become a symbol of resistance since this event.
