Built in 1870, this church was not yet completed when the First World War was declared in 1914. On the facade of the building, you can see a Virgin dating from the 16th century. Inside, there is a life-size Christ, an interesting sculpture, as well as a marble Pieta. The most important objects to discover in this church, besides the tombstones of the Lords of Haraucourt-Magnières, are the remains of Saint Pauline, a Roman martyr. The patron saint of this place is Saint Lawrence. The "Alfred Wild" organ case dates from 1990. Concerts are organized at the Church of Magnières as part of the Organ Route program. This 19th-century building houses five 16th-century tombstones. Built in 1870 and consecrated in 1874 by Monseigneur Foulon, this church was not yet completed when World War I was declared. During the fighting on the Mortagne River from August to September 1914, its tower was dismantled and its attic destroyed. The building was subsequently restored. This church was built to replace a Lorraine-style building with a massive tower, topped by a low bell tower and a hipped roof. It was surrounded by the cemetery. In the cemetery, the mortuary chapel of the Lords of Haraucourt-Magnières stood, whose powerful family was part of the group of the four great horses of Lorraine. When the cemetery was abandoned, the mortuary chapel was demolished and five 16th-century tombstones that were in it were moved to the new church. They were used as simple slabs and suffered damage during the destruction of 1914 (one stone was lost). On the facade of the church, you can see a Virgin dating from the 16th century. Inside, you can see a life-size Christ, an interesting piece of sculpture, and a marble Pieta. One of the most important objects to discover in the church, besides the tombstones, are undoubtedly the remains of Saint Pauline, a Roman martyr. Her patron saint is Saint Lawrence. The "Alfred Wild" organ case dates from 1990. Concerts are organized as part of the Organ Route program.
