The Gerbéviller estate welcomes you on weekends during the summer months, or during major annual events. The Nymphée (grotto with a monumental staircase, decorated with statues and shell mosaics), the Louis XIII Pavilion, the Jardins en Chambres (vegetable garden with several "rooms"), the Palatine Chapel, and the view of the Mortagne Valley all provide a most pleasant setting. Located in the heart of the Mortagne Valley, the château boasts one of the most beautiful landscaped parks in France, designed around 1816 by Louis-Martin Berthault. Since 1737, the Château de Gerbéviller has belonged to the De Lambertye family, then to the D'Arenberg family. Today, the château is still inhabited by Prince Charles D'Arenberg. This is why the self-guided tour only includes the "room" gardens and the 1900 garden, inspired by the Nancy School. A map and a history are provided at the beginning of your visit.
