THEATRE OF LUNEVILLE

Originally built in 1733, then destroyed by a fire, the current theatre was rebuilt in 1910.
It combines an elegant and harmonious facade to a recently renovated “Italian-style” interior.
Its modern conveniences and acoustics make it the main cultural centre of the town, where theatrical companies and troupes produce all kinds of repertoires.

The theatre’s academic facade hides a reinforced concrete frame and metal roof installed to reduce the risk of fire. It was built on the site of a previous ducal theatre that burnt down in 1908.
