theater – the summer monsoon
For seven days, the Prémontré Abbey lives to the rhythm of the Summer Monsoon, a major international theatrical event. Open to all, readings, performances, staged readings, and street theater follow one another to introduce contemporary theater. But the Summer Monsoon is also a summer university that allows eighty participants from all over France and beyond to explore the selected works. It's a reading committee that discovers talented French and international playwrights throughout the year. It's a theater workshop at the Pont-à-Mousson media library, an amateur workshop at the Summer Monsoon, and a thousand other things besides. A detailed program will be available soon. In practice: Staged readings and lectures at the Prémontré Abbey: free entry but booking recommended due to high demand. Outdoor performance: free entry, no booking required.
