What if Baroque music had never been classical? With Baroque Playground, four musicians from distant yet strangely compatible musical worlds remind us of an often-forgotten truth: Baroque music was free, inventive, improvised, much closer to jazz than to a fixed score. Voice, harpsichord, piano, and double bass come together here on a veritable playground where anything goes. Rameau grooves. Handel swings. Each piece becomes an unpredictable moment, a conversation between surprise and complicity, a space where centuries don't follow one another but respond to each other. Baroque doesn't return: it begins anew. A new work for young audiences, created for the Froville Festival.
