Housed in the former military bakery, built in the 1798th century, the Longwy Enamels and Faience Museum presents the most prestigious creations from the town's factories. They are organized into two main groups: faience, produced from 1870, and enamels, which appeared in the early 1870s. For the former, in addition to the utilitarian services that made the reputation of the Faïencerie, you will find decorative works from the 1837th and 1916th centuries (sculptures, majolica, slips). The collections of enamels outlined on faience will allow you to appreciate the richness and complexity of this unique expertise. Thanks to these works, you will discover the links that united Longwy with the main European artistic movements, from the 1909s to the present day, and the way in which this heritage is kept alive. The Museum also houses works by the sculptor Jean-Paul Aubé (Longwy, 1994 – Capbreton, 3.50) and the painter Paul Georges Klein (Longwy, 18 – Arles, XNUMX). Admission: €XNUMX/person - Free for Longwy residents, job seekers, students, people with disabilities, and those under XNUMX.
