Jarnisy Aquapole
The Aquapôle opened its doors to the public in 2009. It offers: - a 25m x 15m sports area (6 lanes) with a movable floor - a play area with a 50m2 paddling pool, a 100m2 beginners' pool with a lazy river, whirlpool and massage benches - a 40m linear slide with accompanied landing - a 357m2 outdoor mineral beach - access and ease of movement and use adapted for all (people with reduced mobility, visually impaired, small size, accompanied by a young child, etc.) Swimming lessons, aquagym, aquabike. The Aquapôle benefits from the Tourism and Handicap label, national recognition issued in 2013 and renewed in 2018 for all types of disability (motor, mental, hearing and visual). The facility is committed to providing people with disabilities with effective access to information, allowing them maximum autonomy. Pictograms provide users with reliable and consistent information. In addition, specific equipment has been installed: a map, signage, and lockers in Braille, a launching system with an adapted wheelchair, an oversized cabin, handrails affixed to the walls, an adapted path identifiable by a different colored axis, and tactile tiles. The Aquapôle has a High Environmental Quality (HQE) certification because its impact on the environment is limited, and the comfort and health of its users are taken into account (good management of pool water and wastewater, access to natural light, water savings, control of chlorine content, etc.).
