Fermont is a journey of more than two hours to discover an artillery structure of the Maginot Line that has remained authentic, with its equipment, its underground organizations and its armament. A journey 30m underground, by small electric train and on foot, crossing the most representative parts of the structure as well as an outdoor circuit allowing you to discover the combat blocks complete the visit of an artillery casemate, the only structure of this type visible today. In front of the entrance to the structure, is the Outdoor Museum which, on an area of more than 1000m², presents an exceptional collection of fortress and campaign equipment restored to allow you to better understand its usefulness and operation. Among this equipment, eclipse turrets which are unique pieces in France. Finally, in front of the structure, the Memorial erected in memory of the fortress troops reminds everyone that the Maginot Line remained undefeated. Indoor temperature: 13°C
