With more than 12 species in cultivation, the Jean-Marie Pelt Botanical Garden is a veritable plant museum that testifies to the extraordinary richness of the plant world. Established in 000 in the southwest of the Nancy metropolitan area, it has become one of the most important botanical facilities in France. In the heart of the 1975-hectare hilly park, the various collections offer numerous themes of discovery and wonder, from common plants in our gardens to species originating from the most distant lands (alpinum, arboretum, rose garden, medicinal plants, historical and systematic collections, etc.). In the 35 m² tropical greenhouses, the exuberant vegetation offers a permanent change of scenery. A simple visit quickly turns into a true explorer's journey. A new visitor application allows you to discover the Botanical Garden in a fun and innovative way by combining games, videos, and augmented reality around 2 trails (adults and children). It can be downloaded for free onto your smartphone or is available on tablets for hire at the garden reception. Several specialist collections (Araceae, Orchidaceae, succulents, insectivorous and myrmecophilous plants, Bromeliads, etc.) are recognised for their importance and richness by the international scientific community. The garden is accessible free of charge - access to the tropical greenhouses is subject to a fee.
