Around 1712, François Huguet de Graffigny was responsible for the château and park, which was overseen by the famous agronomist Charles-Alexandre Mathieu de Domsbale. The financier Elie continued to develop the park. Today, the complex is managed by the city of Villers-lès-Nancy. It hosts events, fairs, meetings, and temporary exhibitions (see schedule on the Villers-lès-Nancy city website depending on the program). The park is open daily and is home to several remarkable tree species, including a cedar of Lebanon, a sequoia, a ginkgo biloba, a medlar, and a polownia. It is also the setting for monumental works, such as the famous Massai giant by sculptor Jean-No.
