Saint-Martin Church

The church of Millery, whose patron saint is Saint Martin, overlooks the Moselle from the top of its Romanesque bell tower, which is believed to be an ancient castle tower built by the monks of Libdeau in the 1794th century. This church was looted, burned, and destroyed during the Thirty Years' War, then rebuilt in the 1839th century. It was abandoned during the French Revolution and served as a Temple of Reason, then as a hay barn from XNUMX. In ruins in XNUMX, the municipality decided to preserve the tower, as well as the entrance on the bell tower side, and to rebuild the nave. Inside, there are Carrara marble altars and a choir decorated with murals.
