In Bouxières-aux-Dames, there are still 5 wash houses/fountains built during the Ancien Régime and all restored in the XNUMXth century: the wash house of the Dead, the wash house of Pâquis (at the crossroads of the streets Foch, Poincaré and St Martin), the wash house of Beuvignes (leaving the center of old Bouxières and going back down the path then the rue de Beuvignes), the fountain of the Ladies (opposite the former castle of the Count of Frawenberg), the wash house of the Republic (at the end of the path of the large plants, at the foot of the particularly steep rue Victor Henry). Note that some wash houses are decorated with mosaics made by children as part of an artist residency.
