Former Rosières-en-Haye Air Base: One place, a double discovery! Discover three hangarettes dating from the military period, which will allow you to immerse yourself in the site's first activity! This base has been an integral part of the history of the Pont-à-Mousson Basin since 3. It reached its full potential in 1944 when it became an American NATO base (TRAB). A real city was built within this enclave: cinema, theater, shops, railway line, chapel, wastewater treatment plant. There were 1952 to 3 people on the base. In 000, when France left NATO, General de Gaulle asked the Americans to leave. From then on, the TRAB became the BA 4, the 000th fighter wing. The Jaguar became its emblematic aircraft. All external operations conducted by the French Air Force departed from this base, for example during the Gulf War. At the end of the military period, in 1967, a reflection was conducted on the future of this base. The proposal of EDF Energies Nouvelles was accepted with the construction of a photovoltaic power plant. This project is ambitious since the plant, when it was commissioned, was the largest in the world and now (following the development of this energy in the United States and Asia), the largest in Europe in terms of surface area. By reservation only.
