Located on the Hill of Sion, classified as a Sensitive Natural Area and Natura 2000 site, the Cité des Paysages is an essential cultural and educational site in Meurthe-et-Moselle. Its mission is to raise public awareness of landscape, biodiversity, and ecological transition issues.
Housed in the former Oblate Fathers' convent, this vast 800 m² space2 It is open to everyone: children, adults, walkers, and tourists. It offers a permanent trail showcasing the landscapes of Meurthe-et-Moselle, as well as temporary exhibitions, renewed every two years. The Cité des Paysages also offers activities from April to November – workshops, lectures, and nature walks accessible to people with disabilities, thanks to the availability of all-terrain wheelchairs (joëlettes). Outings are also organized to explore the department's protected natural areas. Outside, a viewpoint offers a 360° panorama of the landscapes surrounding the hill: orchards, meadows and limestone grasslands.
